Dr. Reetika Kumar

Reetika Kumar, M.D., FACP, is SVP and Chief Customer Product, Clinical Solutions & Pharmacy Services at Independence Blue Cross (IBX). Her expertise and commitment to improving the health of IBX’s members is focused on proven practices, evidenced-based medicine, and cost-effective health care delivery. Dr. Kumar manages full accountability for pharmacy profit and loss, pharmacy clinical programs, and pharmacy sales and product development. She also oversees product development, management, and administration for the Commercial market, and oversees the delivery of health care services for self-funded and fully insured employer groups.

She is an accomplished physician executive with expertise in the hospital and health care industries. With more than 14 years in managed care and 25 years as a physician, Dr. Kumar is a trusted, sought-after speaker and an esteemed voice in the health care community. She is a Fellow at the American College of Physicians and serves on the board for POWER for Professional Women, and the grant advisory committee for Fred’s Footsteps.
