Mwana Lugogo is Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer of Takeda. She joined the company in 2012 to establish the Compliance function for Growth & Emerging Market Business Unit and was appointed to lead the newly created Global Ethics & Compliance organization in 2015. In January 2019, she joined the Takeda Executive Team. Mwana is passionate about strengthening ethics-based culture and bringing Takeda’s values to life, as part of our commitment to patients, to each other and to society.
Mwana is the current co-chair of the Ethics and Business Integrity Committee and the chair of the Chief Ethics & Compliance Officer Roundtable at the International Federation of Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Associations, which represents the innovative pharmaceutical industry at the international level.
Mwana is an international studies graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University. She has a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.
