MELANIE FOLEY is executive vice president and chief purpose officer of Liberty Mutual Insurance. In her role, Foley leads Liberty Mutual’s talent, brand and communications, community investments, and sustainability functions. Foley is a global talent services officer known for her deep business knowledge and broad leadership skills. She has extensive experience leading organizational transformations and driving talent and enterprise strategies that enable business success and enhance employee experience. Foley joined Liberty Mutual as an account executive in 1996. For more than a decade, she was promoted into several positions of increasing responsibility in the sales and marketing functions of the US Personal Insurance business. In 2023, she was appointed to her current role. Additionally, Foley serves on the boards of trustees at Boston Medical Center, Bentley University, and HopeWell, a nonprofit foster care agency and youth support organization. Foley received her BS in marketing from Boston College and an MBA from Bentley College. A native of Boston, she currently resides with her husband and four children in Westwood, Massachusetts.
