Megan Sugiyama

MEGAN SUGIYAMA is vice president of intellectual property and product at Cohesity, Inc. Sugiyama manages a dynamic team of IP attorneys and legal professionals. Together they are responsible for patents, IP transactions, open source software, trademark, copyright, license compliance, and related litigations. Prior to joining Cohesity, she headed patents at Juniper Networks, where she transformed the patent, standards, open source software and M&A due diligence processes.  Before her position at Juniper, she was in-house IP counsel at HP and IBM, and a patent prosecutor and litigator at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett, and Dunner, LLP in Palo Alto, CA.  She began her career clerking for the Honorable Marianne Battani of the Federal District court of the Eastern District of Michigan.
