Mariann Batista

Group Vice President, Target

Mariann Batista is group vice president for Target. In her current role she leads strategy and operations for 65 stores in the Greater Hartford Area. In this role, Batista is responsible for connecting her team to the company framework, strategy, and purpose, continually focused on putting the guest at the center of everything they do to help fulfill Target’s purpose of “helping all families discover the joy of everyday life.” Batista’s professional journey began in specialty retail, where she honed her skills and leadership abilities before joining Target. Over her career at Target, she has held multiple store leadership roles, starting as a softlines executive team leader (ETL) and progressing to her current position. Outside of work, Batista enjoys spending time with her two miniature dachshunds and delving into books on psychology, particularly those exploring the impact of thoughts on everyday life. Batista received a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Western Connecticut State University and dual Masters degrees in human resources and business administration from West Chester University.
