Loraine Ballard Morrill

Loraine Ballard Morrill is the News and Community Affairs Director for iHeartMedia Philadelphia, overseeing six stations including Power 99 FM, WDAS FM, and Q102. She hosts and produces public affairs programs such as “Insight” and “What’s Going On,” and leads community outreach across the stations. Under her leadership, Power 99 has earned a record eight NAB Crystal Radio Awards and the prestigious Crystal Heritage Award. WDAS FM also won a 2022 Crystal Award, and iHeartMedia Philadelphia was named one of the Civic 50 Greater Philadelphia. Loraine’s many honors include the Philadelphia NAACP President’s Award, March of Dimes Lifetime Achievement Award, and the Harris Wofford Active Citizenship Award. In 2024, she was inducted into the Broadcast Pioneers Hall of Fame, and in 2025, “Insight” received a Gracie Award. She serves on several boards including PHLDiversity, Girl Scouts of Eastern PA, and Global Citizen 365.
