Ask for It All: Overcoming the Fear of Expressing Your Needs at Work

Katie Lawson is a Communications Executive and top-rated Conference for Women speaker, empowering you to reclaim your value at work and in life.

Her professional calling began as an actress and host in New York City. These early years onstage gave her clarity about her true motivations for performing: to speak to affect positive change in others.

Katie’s gift for showing people how much they matter began early as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity, and later moved her to develop the first human-interest content strategy at Marsh McLennan.

In the months leading up to joining ZEISS as Head of Communications for North America, she tackled what she considers her greatest hurdle on the path to understanding her own worth—recovering from a life-threatening eating disorder. This experience launched a self-examination of how she denied her own needs, and informed her mission to inspire women to “ask for it all.”
