Janelle Edem

Janelle is Senior Vice President and Global Relationship Manager at Liberty Mutual Insurance, leading the company’s multi-billion-dollar mobile device and technology protection business across North America and Asia-Pacific. Over her 20-year career, she has held diverse leadership roles in strategy, operations, data analytics, claims management, underwriting, and client management. Janelle is a champion for equity and inclusion, having held leadership roles in multiple ERGs including currently co-chairing Liberty’s ERG for women and allies. Her transformative leadership has earned her industry accolades including the Business Insurance Innovation Award, Insurance Business Global 100 Insurance Leaders, and Insurance Business America Leader of Change. Janelle holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BSc in Mathematics from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She is an alum of LeadBoston, The Partnership Inc., and McKinsey’s Connected Leaders Academy, and serves on the Compliance and Risk Board Committee for Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Janelle lives in Boston, MA and outside of work, she enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time and creating memories with family and friends.
