Erica Brennes

Erica Brennes is a morning news anchor at KXAN, the NBC Affiliate in Austin, Texas. She specializes in traffic and all things transportation news. Erica started her career in broadcast journalism more than 20 years ago, but has had chapters outside of TV, working as a content creator and brand manager for multiple companies in Austin. Erica is married with two girls. Her husband is in charge of BEVO, the live longhorn mascot at the University of Texas at Austin. He handles the morning routine for their two girls, who are six years apart! When Erica isn’t waking up in the middle of the night to head to work, she is juggling all the ups and downs of life and motherhood, between naps and before school pickup, when her real full time job begins.
