Dr. Yun Mao is an accomplished leader in the pharmaceutical industry with over two decades of experience. She currently holds the position of Vice President of Drug Product Development within Global Product Development and Supply (GPS) at Bristol Myers Squibb. Yun earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Peking University, China, followed by a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Minnesota.
Her career began as a Senior Research Chemist at Merck & Co., after which she progressed through roles of increasing responsibility, including serving as Executive Director overseeing an analytical sciences organization dedicated to all aspects of drug substance analytical development. In 2018, Yun joined Celgene to manage the company’s alliance portfolio, subsequently expanding her scope to lead portfolio strategy and the integration group at BMS.
As head of Drug Product Development, Yun leads efforts to develop innovative and patient-centric products for all small molecules and biologics at BMS. Outside of her professional commitments, Yun has been married for 28 years and is the mother of twin sons who recently graduated from college. In her personal time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, as well as caring for her dog, Simba.
