Erica Normandin joined Flagship Pioneering in 2022 after completing the Flagship Pioneering Fellowship and is an Associate Director on the Corporate Partnerships team, having previously served as Senior Associate on the Product Concept Innovation team.
In her current role, she contributes to the development of strategic partnerships between Flagship Pioneering, its portfolio of biotechnology companies, and large pharmaceutical partners. These collaborations combine Flagship’s novel platform technologies with the disease area and drug development expertise of pharmaceutical partners to advance innovative solutions for unmet medical needs.
A passionate advocate for women’s health, Erica co-led a Flagship-wide event examining the challenges, opportunities, and future vision for driving innovation in this historically underrepresented and underexplored field of medicine. This event generated widespread engagement across Flagship and its companies and continues to inform her work to integrate women’s health considerations into the company’s product and partnering strategies. Erica is also a founding member and workstream lead of Flagship’s Women’s Employee Resource Group.
Erica holds a B.A. in Biomedical Engineering from Dartmouth College, and a Ph.D. in Systems Biology from Harvard University.
