Deborah Sengupta Stith

DEBORAH SENGUPTA STITH is a music writer with the Austin-American Statesman. After her brief career as a mediocre bass player fizzled out in the early aughts, Stith started writing about music. She built her own websites to create a platform to explore her voice. In 2004, she joined the Austin American-Statesman staff. Since then, she’s covered countless albums, bands and music festivals. She spent far more of her youth hanging out in bars than she’d care to admit. These days, you’re just as likely to find her hanging out at home, working in her garden and spending time with her husband and two wonderful daughters.  ​@deborific
