Beth Morahan is Executive Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Liberty Mutual Group and serves as General Counsel for Liberty’s Global Risk Solutions (GRS) business. In this role, Beth is part of the GRS executive leadership team and leads a team of 50 lawyers and paralegals in support of the company’s global commercial insurance business, which includes traditional and specialty lines as well as surety. The GRS Legal team collaborates closely with both business partners and corporate department colleagues on a wide variety of issues, such as product development and implementation, contract negotiation and drafting, licensing, privacy, underwriting and rating matters, broker issues, claims matters, insurance regulatory compliance, and acquisitions.
Beth is also part of the Liberty Mutual Corporate Legal Department’s executive leadership team, and in that role is focused on legal department strategic matters such as operational effectiveness, talent engagement and development, and workforce planning. She also serves as National Co-Chair of Able@Liberty, Liberty Mutual’s disability awareness Employee Resource Group.
Beth joined Liberty Mutual’s Legal Department in 1995 and has previously held front line and management roles in the insurance coverage practice and in support of the company’s domestic personal lines business.
Beth has a B.A. from The University of New Hampshire, where she majored in Political Science, and a J.D. from New England Law.
