SAVITRI BASAVAIAH is vice president, U.S. marketing and franchise strategy, neuroscience at Johnson & Johnson. She leads marketing, franchise, and key account management teams, driving commercial strategies to grow the neuroscience business. With over two decades in the pharmaceutical industry, Basavaiah has expertise in product launches, brand management, and strategic planning across oncology, hematology, and rare diseases. Previously, she served as vice president of portfolio innovation and commercialization strategy at J&J, leading global initiatives to enhance competitiveness. She also held leadership roles at BMS and Pfizer. A champion of “patients first, people always,” she is committed to patient impact and team well-being. Basavaiah holds a degree in economics from Swarthmore and a digital marketing certificate from Cornell. Her marketing work has earned several industry awards. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, daughters, and Labrador, enjoying soccer games, swim meets, and visits to New York City.
