Nereyda Garcia

Vice President, Head of Ethics & Compliance, Takeda Pharmaceuticals

Nereyda Garcia is Vice President, Head of Ethics & Compliance for Takeda’s US Business Unit, responsible for the strategic development and execution of the Ethics & Compliance program for the US Business Unit. Prior to joining Takeda in 2021, Nereyda served in a variety of other Ethics & Compliance leadership roles and legal roles in several multinational life sciences companies in the Boston area: Sanofi, Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, Biogen, PerkinElmer (now Revvity), and Haemonetics Corporation. She began her career as a trial attorney at Sherin and Lodgen in Boston.
Nereyda currently serves on the Northeastern University School of Law Industry Advisory Council. She is a past member of the Massachusetts Judicial Nominating Commission and past legal instructor in the Boston University First Year Writing Program. She also served as a longtime member of the Board of Trustees of the Immigrant Learning Center and South Shore STARS. Nereyda is also a frequent lecturer on Ethics & Compliance topics and has been keynote speaker at several naturalization ceremonies for new American citizens.

Nereyda received her undergraduate degree in History from Brown University and her law degree from Northeastern University School of Law.

She is a proud Cuban immigrant, married to her college sweetheart, and mother of two wonderful men.
