Monica comes from a proud legacy of aviators – she’s a third-generation pilot and second-generation United flier. With aviation in her blood, she spent her childhood summers flying in her dad’s open-cockpit biplane, dreaming of the day she’d take to the skies herself. That dream took flight in 2006 when she joined United as a B737 First Officer.
Over the years, Monica has flown the B737, B787, and Airbus, all while raising two amazing kids (now teenagers). Today, she’s a Denver-based B737 Captain and Senior Manager of FSAP & Fatigue in Aviation Safety – a role she finds both challenging and rewarding.
When she’s not flying, you’ll find her hiking or snowboarding in the mountains with her family.
