Julie Garcia

JULIE GARCIA has worked at UnitedHealthcare since 2005, serving in a variety of leadership roles. In 2015, she became the executive director for STAR+PLUS in the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Texas, serving beneficiaries in Medicaid. She has extensive experience in a variety of healthcare settings, with a strong emphasis on developing, implementing, and improving clinical programs of complex populations. Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, she served as director of clinical services for a large home care agency serving a multitude of beneficiaries. Garcia has instituted the PAS pilot, industrial engineering, clinical redesign efficiencies and Inter-rater reliability processes in STAR+PLUS. She currently serves as a member of the culture & diversity council, centers for clinical advancement council, a culture ambassador, and is a member of the American Nurses Association. Garcia is a licensed registered nurse with a masters in nursing leadership and education. @uhc
