As one of the most resilient and successful entrepreneurs in the world, Martha Stewart knows a few things about success on your terms.
The daughter of two school teachers, she is the founder of Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, a global empire that reaches over 100 million people each month. (Not to mention Emmy Award-winner and author of 100 bestselling books.)
Some people would say that one secret to success is reinvention. She has another word for it.
“I just call it evolution,” Stewart says. “I don’t call it reinventing. I just call it an ordinary evolution. You know, mankind has evolved in many, many different ways, as do animals. … And evolution is good. Evolution can really help you understand what’s coming, what’s past, what’s present. I don’t want to sound like a preacher, because I am not a preacher. I just think that we all have it in on ourselves to evolve.”
